SHUTTLE MEDIATION: MAINTAINING DIALOGUE – 1.5-HOUR E-LEARNING COURSE
Do you intervene in situations where dialogue has broken down?
Are you a mediator or manager responsible for restoring bridges between parties in open conflict who refuse any direct interaction? This course provides you with methods, posture, and training to master shuttle mediation – a key skill in acute conflict situations.
Designed for conflict resolution professionals in businesses or sensitive contexts (social, institutional, associative), this course guides you through the complexity of alternating mediation: maintaining indirect dialogue when emotional stress blocks all contact.
What you will learn:
✔️ Understand the challenges of silence and the breakdown of dialogue
✔️ Master the fundamentals of shuttle mediation: role, posture, methods
✔️ Translate conflicting statements without distorting them — or inflaming them
✔️ Adapt your approach according to the level of tension and the profile of the parties
✔️ Practice on a simulator as close to reality as possible
Composition of the course (1h30) :
- Module 1 – Acute Conflict: The Challenges of Dialogue Become aware of the importance of maintaining a space for discussion, even indirectly, when the connection is broken. You will see how silence can become an emotional or strategic weapon, and why the mediator becomes the only communication bridge.
- Module 2 – The Fundamentals of Shuttle Mediation Discover the main principles, roles, and responsibilities. What are the methodological benchmarks? How can exchanges between parties be structured without confronting them?
- Module 3 – Techniques and Best Practices in Shuttle Mediation Learn the key techniques: segmented active listening, neutral reformulation, managing biased perceptions, and transmitting messages without distortion. Develop reflexes to avoid any indirect escalation.
- Module 4 – Adapting your posture to various contexts Deepen your understanding of the differences according to profiles (hierarchical, cultural, emotional), environments (company, institution, union) and degrees of conflict.
- Module 5 – Immersive training simulator Experience a complex shuttle mediation case: receive the comments of two opposing parties, reformulate, balance, and maintain the progress of the process.
