Office work is present in almost all sectors of activity. Many workers hold jobs in administration, office automation, telephony, programming, information technology, graphic design or accounting, for example.
The main risk factor associated with office work is static posture. Static posture involves holding the whole body or a part of the body in a fixed position for a given period. Static effort, even if sometimes unconscious, is essential to maintaining posture.
Being in the same working position for several minutes involves muscle contraction, which impairs blood circulation within the muscles involved and increases the risk of injury. The longer a posture is maintained, the greater the risk of developing a musculoskeletal disorder. That’s why the human body needs to move regularly to function well.
This training allows one to organize their workstation ergonomically to prevent musculoskeletal disorders (MSD).
