Construction sites are workplaces with a very high level of traffic. Vehicles, heavy vehicles and workers must move continuously and carry out their operations in an environment where co-activity is omnipresent. The high level of accident risk in these workplaces means that traffic must be managed to reduce this level as much as possible.
The presence of construction signallers is a measure to be put in place to achieve this. However, they must be adequately trained to ensure their own safety and that of other workers working in this type of environment.
P.S.: It should be noted that this training complies with the obligations of article 2.8.3. – Training for site signaller. The completion of this training does not lead to obtaining the certification card issued by the Association québécoise des transports (AQTr) in order to work on MTQ road construction sites.
